Instruction will cover composition, color, and technique for painting with pastel, as well as working through individual challenges that students will encounter throughout the creative process. Individual instruction is tailored to each student's knowledge base of pastel and objectives.
Students will spend the first hour and a half (or so) working on a drawing to practice with the medium and loosening up. In the latter portion of the class, students will work on a more detailed and complete pastel landscape using the techniques practiced earlier in class.
