DRAWING FOR BEGINNERS

20.00

Instructor: Debra Buchanan
Saturday, May 26th 2018 from 10:30am - 12:30pm
Ages: 16+
Skill level: Absolute beginner to intermediate

Want to start drawing what you see, but not sure how to begin? This class is designed for the person who would like to explore basic drawing lessons in a relaxed environment. Feel free to bring wine, coffee, or tea from home and make yourself comfortable.

Deb will set up a small still life to draw from and she will cover drawing basics for beginners, such as: how to make sure the items in your sketch are in proportion to one another, very basic perspective, and how to create light and shadow using pencils and an eraser. Deb has over 10 years teaching experience in a variety of topics and is very popular with all our students. We highly recommend this class as a great intro to art course.

Please bring or buy a few drawing materials to start with. Deb or one of the Depo employees can point you in the right direction if you need assistance picking out supplies. We recommend a few graphite pencils (2B, 4B, and 6B are good to begin with), paper or a sketchbook about 9x12", a kneaded eraser, and pencil sharpener.
