Tuesday, April 10th, 2018 5:30pm to 8:30pm
Instructor: Donna Ebert
Ages: adults

Donna Ebert specializes in decorative painting! In her classes, you’ll learn techniques that will enhance your painting abilities by learning how to paint on different types of surfaces, and how to use many types of paint brushes and tools.

In this Reductive Painting: Pineapples class, we will be using acrylic paints over gesso on watercolor paper.  Students will learn to deckle the edges, and then block the paper using gesso to make a flexible substrate.  Painting will be done in acrylic, throwing down a lot of wild color and then cutting in reductively to make the shapes.  All materials will be provided along with step-by-step instructions.  Students will create five to six pineapple paintings in different color schemes over the course of the class, solidifying their technique and gaining artistic confidence along the way.

Donna promises to make it "easy-peasy." All materials and step-by-step instructions will be provided. Wear comfortable old clothing, something you won’t mind if a little paint happens to jump on.
