BEADWEAVING: ST. PETERSBURG CHAIN STITCH

60.00

Saturday, October 14th from 11:00am to 3:00pm
Instructor: Jenny Schu
Ages: 16+ / Skill Level: Beginner through Intermediate welcome!

In this Beadweaving class taught by Jenny Schu, students will learn the St. Petersburg Chain Stitch. From Jenny...

"The St. Petersburg Chain Stitch is a versatile beading stitch, I personally use it for the chain of my lariat necklaces and for wide bracelets or long looping earrings."

In the class, students will work toward making a bracelet with a bead and loop closure; working up one side of the stitch, then the other.  Students may choose to make a wider bracelet and can discuss options with the teacher once they get the stitch down.

All materials for this class are included in the tuition.

Jenny Schu is a Lansing, Michigan based creative who began teaching at the BG Depo after exhibiting in our Fall 2016 LOOP SWOOP + PULL fiber arts show. A talented fiber artist and beadweaver, Jenny has endless tips and tricks to inspire students with. We're so excited for her to continue adding classes to our lineup!
